CARE

We create all of our pieces by hand with natural high quality materials. Each piece is unique, with slight color variation, waves of pleating and flaws inherent to the hand-dyeing, hand-pleating or hand-felting processes. We consider these artifacts of their production and proof of their authenticity.

Each type of product requires special cares. By following these instructions you ensure that your Azur garment will last for a long time.

PLEATED AND CRUMPLED GARMENTS
The pleating on silk is not permanent, in order to preserve it we suggest keeping it away from water and recommend professional soft dry clean only. The pleating will flatten with time and wear, in order to maintain it in its best condition we advise to always store pleated garments gently rolled-up in their pouches and crumpled garments flat in their pouches. Botanically dyed colors may fade if left in the sun, in order to preserve them we recommend storing the piece in a dark place. Do not iron or steam. Garments can be repleated upon request, please email at sales@azur.world

LOOSE PLEATED AND LOOSE CRUMPLED GARMENTS
Silk shouldn’t be washed after every wear. Instead, hang silk pieces to ventilate, away from direct sunlight which can damage the color. Loose pleated silk should be professionally soft dry cleaned or hand washed. Gently hand wash with a natural detergent in cold water without soaking. Rinse and wring in the direction of the pleats to drain. Lay flat on a towel to air dry. Do not iron or steam. Store on a hanger away from direct sunlight. Garments can be repleated upon request, please email at sales@azur.world

MUGA, ORGANZA AND RAW SILK GARMENTS
Silk shouldn’t be washed after every wear. Instead, hang silk pieces to ventilate, away from direct sunlight which can damage the color. Silk is best hand washed with a gentle detergent in lukewarm water without soaking. Rinse the silk garment without wringing. Lay the silk piece on a towel and roll up the towel to absorb excess moisture. Then hang to air dry. Iron at low temperature or use a steamer.

Iron while it is still slightly wet at medium temperature or use a steamer. Do not spot clean. Botanically dyed colors may fade if left in the sun, in order to preserve them we recommend storing the pieces in a dark place.
