CARE

We create all of our pieces by hand with natural high quality materials. Each piece is unique, with slight color variation, waves of pleating and flaws inherent to the hand-dyeing, hand-pleating or hand-felting processes. We consider these artifacts of their production and proof of their authenticity.

Each type of product requires special cares. By following these instructions you ensure that your Azur garment will last for a long time.

HAND-PLEATED SATIN & SHEER SILK

Our silk piece is artisanally hand-dyed with locally grown plants and hand-pleated one pleat at a time, resulting in a singular fabric with subtle hues and unique texture that has become Azur’s signature.

Delicate and fragile, the pleating on silk requires gentle handling.
Be mindful that perspiration or contact with water can flatten the pleats. Only use professional dry-cleaning to take care of your piece. To prevent color fading, store in a dark place. Do not iron or steam.

If your garment loses its pleats, our REPLEATING SERVICE will restore its original beauty.
